An interesting evening with Microsoft last night - they are inviting bloggers to see what new products and services they're developing and inviting comments and feedback. Its a high profile event - introduction from the esteemed MSN marketing director plus they flew in two very senior Microsoft people from Seattle - Phil Holden ( Worldwide Director of Windows Live) and Koji Kato (one of the key developers of the Tablet PC team)
This is part of launching Microsoft Live - a way of personalising a web page to include all the information you need - weather, stock prices, news headlines, sports results etc -together with your email messages. This personalisation of the web is already happening with MyYahoo (over 40 million users) and Google, who have their version too.
The audience were very interesting too - a bunch of very smart bloggers from the UK, Holland and Belgium including Miel Van Opstal, Darren Straight and Robert Gale
So much to cover that I'm doing a separate post on each topic;
UPDATE; there is a very thorough post here that is well worth reading.
Hey Simon it was nice talking to you, thanks for the link, hope to see you at the next session.
