Spring Summer 2008
blah blah blah
blah blah blah

I'd rather the defining image was the fantastic party outside Bar Italia last night but you can see the key moment of the Final here. Don't know what was said, but it must have been pretty bad to get that reaction. Shame, but Zizou is still one of the worlds best players - and one of our favourites.
A sad end to the World Cup and to his career.
Read what the other blogs have to say now the party is over.

After the game we went down to find a party going on outside Bar Italia. Definitely the place to be after you've watched the game somewhere you can see a screen.
But how come some smart Italian brand hasn't sponsored a huge screen outside Bar Italia? Peroni, Illy, Vespa - come on! It would be really cheap marketing and you'd have a huge impact.
Lots more picture on Flickr
For the second half we went over to Marinos in Rathbone Place. The place was packed and had a great atmosphere. Well worth checking out for the next Italian game.
We walked up to Bar Italia to find the whole street packed and the Italian commentary blaring out. The only problem is the screen is too small to be seen from more than a few feet away. So we went round the corner to Il Panino which had around a dozen Italian fans watching the game on two TVs - with the Italian commentary of course.
We'd like to think this is a pretty pointless post, but we saw in the Independent that a good venue to watch Ecuador is this bar in the Elephant & Castle.
Should they still be in the competition after the game on Sunday ( and given they rested 5 players for the German game, they could well be....) it's a good place to check out. And we also understand the Coronet Cinema is showing the games too.
For last nights game we skipped between the Pancake house and Buen Ayre to see how the different supporters were doing.
Despite the offer of free drinks for each goal the Pancake House was quite subdued - not too busy and no sign of Orange shirts. But it was 40 minutes to kick off.
So we went over to Broadway Market to check out Buen Ayre, which was packed. Lots of Argentina shirts (mainly Maradona ones) and lots of buzz. Unfortunately the pictures didn't come out.
If you want to see any of the Argentine games you need to book now - and I imagine they've already got bookings for the final.
We thought it might be useful to map our venues, so we've produced a mash up of Google Maps. Just drag the map to where you want to see a game and click on the flags. Have fun.
Our friends at Mobizines are running a great promotion with GQ - win a party at Egg for 50 of your friends to watch the England Ecuador game on Sunday. Free food and drink in a private loft with 2 plasma screens!
All you need to do to enter is download the GQ Mobizine to your phone - full details here.
Mobizines are really cool magazines that you access through your mobile phone - well worth checking out
( Disclosure - we work with Refresh Mobile, the company behind Mobizines. Which means we can't win - but if you win and you're having problems finding 50 people to join you....)
We were in the Cafe Du Liban for the Ukraine game; a great place, the staff were very passionate about the game and there was a fantastic atmosphere with lively banter as there were three Russian girls supporting the Ukraine. The game was shown on Arab TV.
We'd checked out the Hilton earlier, but that was very disappointing.
And we hear that later on, during the Tunisian game, the Edgeware Road was rocking - well for 70 minutes of it anyway.
The St Moritz, with its fascinating history, is a good place to watch with the Swiss.
It was fun, small, narrow, intense; a good atmosphere. The owner kept ringing a huge cow bell, helped by the result and there was even a buffet laid on for us.
Much more lively than than the Swiss Church. And the game was shown on Swiss TV - in German.
Even though it's in our manor, it took a tip from WorldCupPubCrawl to realise this excellent Mexican bar is showing all the games.
But be warned - they specialise in Tequila.
Very English in feel. Tightly packed pub, very vocal lads - and pretttier
women that you'll find in the average British local it has to be said. More photos on Flickr

The Swiss Church was pretty much as you'd expect from the Swiss; well mannered and polite, not very vocal. Amusing thing was that they turned up, about 2-3 minutes before the game.
As always, other photos added to StattoStatto group on flickr
Those nice people at the BBC are linking to StattoStatto, which is helping drive even more traffic.
And we've found a couple of excellent blogs from people who are living the StattoStatto dream and watching the games with the fans of the teams.
If you're going to games, you don't need to start your own blog - just add your story here by clicking on the comments button under each venue. And if you have any picture just click here to add them to our Flickr group. Just make sure you add stattostatto as a tag.
Time Out are featuring some interesting venues for watching games - most of which we have ( well they have been all over our site, as have the BBC).
But given how popular all the Brazilian venues are, its good to know that Shoreditch favourite Favela Chic is into the football
They;re showing most games ( with an after party following the England game today featuring the best DJ for Brazilian jazz - Joe Davies) but for the Brazilian games it will be a bit special.
The Dutch crowd at De Hems watching the Serbia game on Sunday.
We're told that another venue will be busy for the Ivory Coast game on Friday - the pancake house in Holborn. Whilst I've been past it a million times I don't know anyone who has ever been, but the pancakes are supposed to be great.
Czech and Slovak Club. I was excited about this venue. I thought good beers, alcohol
absorbing food and fine football all with what I'd been told was a very
passionate bunch of supporters.
What I didn't take into account was
that this club is closed Mondays, any Monday, even those Monday's that
come around every four years, when your countrymen get to play in the
World Cup Finals.
Naturally I shall return for another game on another
day

StattoStatto works! - as well as high traffic to the site ( partly because we're coming up very high on Google) we're seeing lots of venues we've featured sell out.
Cargo is one place that has sold all its tickets for tonights Brazil game - and talking to the people at Guanabara they're expected the place to be mobbed tonight - so get there early.
btw Cargo are showing the other Brazil games.
So we watched the first game with the people from the Costa Rican embassy. More pictures on Flickr.
Tell us where you watched the games ( just click on comments) and add your picture to Flickr - just tag them stattostatto.
A smart promoter has arranged to show the key African games at Herbal over in Shoreditch. As well as the games on big screens they've got DJs from each country - plus a barbeque on their new roof terrace. If you email ilka@ilkamedia.com you can get on the guest list and get a free drink.
Sounds like great fun.
To cater for their Saudi regulars the brasserie at the Hilton is putting a screen in for all their games.
Students will be at the Saudi Club at the King Fahd Academy in Ealing
As virtually all the coffee shops on the Edgeware Road have TVs we think that the whole road will be rocking when Tunisia play.
