It'll be interesting to see how Comcast deals with this transition. They still want all that content to go over their proprietary closed loop, not open IP. If it goes over open IP, they're just a dumb pipe, no better or worse than any other delivery mechanism. P2P makes their broadband service more valuable to the consumer, but the consumer less valuable to the cableco. That ain't no fun.

I think thats the fun part of all this - how do companies adapt their business model from being gatekeepers to earning peoples money? The speaker from Comcast - Ty Ahmed Tayler - was smart and seemed to understand what was going on - we'll have to see whether that pervades the whole organisation
