I saw this posting on a blog I read for work and it summed up well just why St Ives is special.
He is particularly focused on food;
There are plenty of places to eat there, and some are amazing, but they either fall into the expensive and complicated camp (you know, pan fried this and that drizzled with a balsamic reduction) or into the fast food camp. Don't get me wrong, both are great, but I'd love to do something different.
We love the food there too - our best meals last year were at;
- Fifteen - a bit of a drive to Newquay but well worth it
- Porthminster Beach Cafe - a friends birthday and a fantastic evening
- St Andrews Street bistro - quite new but already a firm favourite of the locals - and of Rick Stein
- and a fantastic little burger place that had just opened almost next to St Andrews Street bistro. Can't remember the name but we're there next week so will get the details.
Hello and thanks for the link. We were going to try St andrews at Easter, but didn't. Must go next time. Loving your St Ives pictures.
There's no call for planners in St Ives is there?
